Modems that Work with i-Fax i-Fax supports the following standards: ．Class 2 - the Pre 1992 Standard ．Class 2.0 - the Post 1992 Standard i-Fax does not support the Class 1 standard. To find out whether your modem supports a Class 2 fax standard, issue the command "AT+FCLASS=?" under minicom and look for the returned result code. If it shows you the result code "OK", that means your modem is supported by i-Fax. Steps in detail: 1. Login your fax server with root level. 2. Enter "minicom -s" to set up the right serial port for your modem. 3. Go the terminal of minicom. 4. Type "AT+FCLASS=2.0" to check if the result code is "OK". 5.
