- All UNITED NETWORKS
participants and customers’ operators MUST apply
site access permission for any site works and schedule
maintenance to be carried out at UNITED NETWORKS Data Center by
giving at least 1 working day notice in advance. Only
authorized persons (representatives) of UNITED NETWORKS participants
and customers’ operators could make
site access request / appointment by sending email to tech@unitednet.com.hk.
Confirmation email will be sent out by UNITED NETWORKS to the
applicant when the access permission is granted. All site access
requests without prior notice to UNITED NETWORKS will be
rejected.
- All visitors have to
observe and agree to abide by the UNITED NETWORKS Data Center
Policy posted in http://www.unitednet.com.hk/access-policy.htm.
- A maximum of 3
persons (at least one MUST be representative) may enter UNITED
NETWORKS Data Centre at the same time. For security reasons, all
visitors will be requested to show his/her Hong Kong ID Card or Passport for verification.
He/she will be refused to enter the Data Centre if the required
credentials cannot be shown.
- UNITED NETWORKS
participants and customers’ operators should use
this Data
Centre Access Form to provide the FULL list
of authorized persons for entering UNITED NETWORKS Data Center. UNITED
NETWORKS will acknowledge request by sending email to the
Network Operation Centre (NOC) provided in the form within 3 working days
upon receipt of the update request form.
How to apply for UNITED
NETWORKS Data Centre Access
- Only authorized
representatives identified in prior writing by UNITED NETWORKS
participant and customers’ operator can make
request to enter UNITED NETWORKS Data Center.
- Applicants MUST
provide the following information by sending email to tech@unitednet.com.hk in their
applications:
- Company name and Customer Number;
- Job description and
work order information;
- Date and time to
apply for entry;
- Name and first 3
digits of HKID/Passport ID of the visitor(s);
- At least 1 working
day notice must be given in advance in general.
- At least 3 working days notice must be given in advance if on site technical support at UNITED
NETWORKS Data Centre is required or equipment move-in or
move-out to/from UNITED NETWORKS Data Center is
involved.
- Confirmation email
will be sent out by UNITED NETWORKS when the access permission
is granted.
Equipment Move-in/out
- Please inform UNITED
NETWORKS for any site works to be performed or goods delivery to
our center. You can make the appointment by following the
procedures at http://www.unitednet.com.hk/site-access.htm.
Equipment move-in/out without prior notice will be rejected by UNITED
NETWORKS.
- UNITED NETWORKS
participants should use this Equipment
Move In/Out Form to provide the list of equipment to be
installed in UNITED NETWORKS Data Center. The standard input of
power is 220V AC with dual sources.
- If the goods will be
delivered by shipping company, please make sure all necessary
documents and proper import licenses have been cleared
before sending the equipment to UNITED NETWORKS Data Center.
- Note that a special
license is required for import equipment with information
security under the control of Strategic
Commodities List. UNITED NETWORKS participants must check
the imported items against the control
list on the Trade and Industry Department web site and complete
the license application as required by the HKSAR government.
